Mother’s Day is one of my favorite days of the year. She makes it that way. It’s the way she lives, the way she’s impacted me. She was the very first to show me what it feels like to be loved. She shows me what strength really is.
A dedicated mother’s heart is like a window straight into God’s heart. That’s where the strength is. That’s why mothers can do what they do. That’s why her words cheer, her touch comforts, and her eyes care.
I overheard a conversation awhile ago that was too sweet to forget. My brother was talking to our mom…
“…I was just dusting off your desk and realizing how much you do for us and how much we need you. And I was remembering what you told us at breakfast… that you were awake three hours this morning praying for us. These thoughts just made me realize that I’m love-smitten over you, Mom.”
Love kept in the heart isn’t real love. Loving words spoken run like golden threads through hearts.
Let’s articulate love’s art. There are a thousand ways, countless ways… Let’s let our mom’s know just how much they mean to us, not just on Mother’s Day, but all year long.
