Back from Honduras…

To those who lifted eyes to Heaven on our behalf, who prayed for the people of Honduras…

Thank you.

Children hold Bibles, 650+ medical patients (and a host more dental patients) have been prayed with, a VIDA dormitory nears completion, waters have been parted, the Word has been preached, and hearts, especially ours, have been moved by grace…  because of the One who heard your prayers. We felt it— prayer is power.

And you, our new friends, who made this mission yours too, who landed in Honduras in Jesus’ name…

We’d do it with you again in a heartbeat.

It was pure joy sharing space and time, prayers and songs, life-changing experiences and mountain views… and even cement and darkness and bugs and rain… and an airport at 1:00am…
You bless us. And you remind us what God can do in and through a bunch of willing young people…

VIDA—This place with a hammock and mangoes and evening breezes through open windows, where simplicity is beautiful and every drop of energy is devoted to ministry… These people who live beyond themselves, dedication written all over their faces, their lives…

We love you.

Your kindness and hospitality make even cold water and no electricity seem like home. May the One who has given you mercy (2 Cor. 4:1), bless your mission. He smiles on you…

Jesus? Our Reason, our Way… Our Light and Life…

It’s all about You.

You bless so bountifully and work so wondrously. We thought we were “stepping out of our comfort zones” as we set out on this mission… But you taught us this: stepping into Your plan is always laying claim to the presence of the Comforter, entering the only true “comfort zone.”

There’s no way we’d rather live our lives than with You and for You. There’s nothing we’d rather see than Your face… and faces of those You touched—somehow through us—standing on the sea of glass at last.

We have but one candle of life to burn… Light it and shine.
We are Yours.
